Steven Armour, LPCC-S

Steven is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervision Designation (LPCC-S). Since 2011, he has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, addiction counseling, and private practice. He has specialized experience assisting people work through grief, addiction, mood issues, anxiety, caretaker fatigue, OCD and scrupulosity, issues with pornography, trauma/PTSD, psychosis, and career confusion.

Steven works to integrate his mental health training with the Catholic faith, Biblical wisdom, and the lives of the saints to help you better understand yourself from the heart. He counsels from a developmental understanding of the mind, body, and soul, which will facilitate insight into distress. His hope is to help you identify what is unhelpful in your life, have conversations that can create positive change, and facilitate healing in Christ.

Steven graduated with his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University, where he also received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Catholic Studies. He utilizes principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused couples’ counseling (EFT), the HEART model, and Forgiveness Therapy.

In his off time, Steven enjoys spending time with family, exercise, yardwork, reading, and further refining his taste for coffee.
